2023-24 Warming Center Information by County*

Please check with the local emergency management for opening information

  • Cobb County

    • MUST Ministry Hope House, 1297 Bells Ferry Rd., Marietta, GA 30066​

      • When the warming center opens, Cobb County will provide transportation vouchers to Hope House from 1:00-3:00p at select partner locations like Bethany UMC Symrna.​ More information on vouchers.

  • Dekalb County 

    • Fire Station 3, 100 N. Clarendon Ave., Avondale Estates, GA 30002

    • Fire Station 4, 4540 Flakes Mill Road, Ellenwood, GA 30294

    • Fire Station 6, 2342 Flat Shoals Road, Atlanta, GA 30316

    • Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Road, Atlanta, GA 30316​

    • DeKalb County has four warming centers open for residents to use in the following locations 24 hours a day beginning 8 a.m. Tues., Jan 16, through 8 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 18, at the following warming center locations:
      • Exchange Park Recreation Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur
      • Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Drive, Decatur
      • Tobie Grant, 593 Parkdale Drive, Scottdale
      • Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Road, Atlanta

  • Douglas County 

    • Douglasville First UMC, 6167 Prestley Mill Rd., Douglasville, GA 30134​

  • Fulton County

    • The City of Atlanta will open a warming center ahead of colder temperatures. The center will open Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. and remain open through Monday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m.  

      • The warming center will be located at the Central Park Recreation Center at 400 Merritts Ave. NE, Atlanta 30308.  Transportation will be provided beginning at 8:00 p.m. from the Gateway Center, located at 275 Pryor St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, with return transportation upon deactivation.

  • Gwinnett County ​

    • Buford Senior Center, 2755 Sawnee Avenue, Bus route 101 I-985, stop 19

    • Shorty Howell Park Activity Building, 2750 Pleasant Hill Road, Bus route 10B, stop 542 and 108

    • Best Friend Park Gym, 6224 Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Bus route 35, stop 407 and 906

    • Centerville Senior Center, 3025 Bethany Church Road

    • Lawrenceville Senior Center, 225 Benson Street, Bus route 40, stop 836 and 337​

  • Hall County

    • Salvation Army, 681 Dorsey Street, Gainesville, GA, 4:30 p.m. check-in when operational
