Frontline Response International has been contracted to serve individuals who need assistance during extreme weather conditions. Unlike DeKalb’s traditional warming centers, hot meals, beds, and case management services are centralized at Frontline. DeKalb offers transportation services from all its warming centers to Frontline for individuals who wish to take advantage of those centralized services.
Please note that DeKalb County fire stations will not be activated as overnight warming center locations.

The City of Atlanta will open a warming center ahead of colder temperatures. The center will open Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. and remain open through Monday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m.

The warming center will be located at the Central Park Recreation Center at 400 Merritts Ave. NE, Atlanta 30308. Transportation will be provided beginning at 8:00 p.m. from the Gateway Center, located at 275 Pryor St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303, with return transportation upon deactivation.
